DVD Review: FETISH DOLLS DIE LAUGHING
FETISH DOLLS DIE LAUGHING
Directed by: David Silvio
Distributed by: Worldwide Multimedia
I have seen some crazy movies in my day, but a horror based on the "tickle monster" seems like one of the strangest concepts I have heard of! What seems to be a super silly concept actually makes for a pretty fun movie. Here is the basic plot from the film's imdb page:
Do you remember, as a child, when your parents teased you with the "Tickle Monster"? It turns out that he's more real (and even more malevolent) than you could have ever imagined! With seedy photographer Billy Tagg (Michael McGovern) serving as the ancient entity's latest vessel, the Tickle Monster torments his way through a catalog of Billy's beautiful bondage babes - until no-nonsense homicide detective Greer English (Laura Romeo) catches wind of it. Now, the button-down detective must go undercover in a world where bizarre and macabre fantasies play out via the internet for the whole world to see. Can Greer stop the Tickle Monster's reign of terror or will she become the latest fetish doll to die laughing?
First off, the movie is not meant to be taken seriously by any means. It is meant to have fun and that's what it does. While the film is not really scary by any means, it does have some good gore, including a crazy scene where the tickle monster puts a girl in a guillotine, and puts the rope in her mouth that is holding the blade at the top. He then proceeds to tickle her feet and she must not let go of the rope, or she will be beheaded! Well, I'm sure you can guess how that scene ends! Ha!
There are quite a few funny scenes in this film, and while it tends to run a bit long, it managed to keep my attention the entire time, something that a lot of super low budget films like this are not usually able to do. So if you want a cheesy, fun, horror flick...check out FETISH DOLLS DIE LAUGHING!
