Check out the trailer for THE SCAREHOUSE
I recently read an article about an upcoming horror film called, THE SCAREHOUSE. I haven't really seen too many new horror movies coming out lately that I was excited by, so I was happy to hear about this one and see the trailer for it. Here is the basic plot from the film's imdb page:
When two friends open a Halloween fun house on Devil's Night it is all fun and games until their former sorority sisters begin to arrive. These six sisters are confronted by their past as the night spins out of control.
The trailer looks like this could be a very fun film! THE SCAREHOUSE is set to debut on VOD and iTunes October 21st. I have not seen a blu-ray/dvd release date yet.

DVD Review: FETISH DOLLS DIE LAUGHING
FETISH DOLLS DIE LAUGHING
Directed by: David Silvio
Distributed by: Worldwide Multimedia
I have seen some crazy movies in my day, but a horror based on the "tickle monster" seems like one of the strangest concepts I have heard of! What seems to be a super silly concept actually makes for a pretty fun movie. Here is the basic plot from the film's imdb page:
Do you remember, as a child, when your parents teased you with the "Tickle Monster"? It turns out that he's more real (and even more malevolent) than you could have ever imagined! With seedy photographer Billy Tagg (Michael McGovern) serving as the ancient entity's latest vessel, the Tickle Monster torments his way through a catalog of Billy's beautiful bondage babes - until no-nonsense homicide detective Greer English (Laura Romeo) catches wind of it. Now, the button-down detective must go undercover in a world where bizarre and macabre fantasies play out via the internet for the whole world to see. Can Greer stop the Tickle Monster's reign of terror or will she become the latest fetish doll to die laughing?
First off, the movie is not meant to be taken seriously by any means. It is meant to have fun and that's what it does. While the film is not really scary by any means, it does have some good gore, including a crazy scene where the tickle monster puts a girl in a guillotine, and puts the rope in her mouth that is holding the blade at the top. He then proceeds to tickle her feet and she must not let go of the rope, or she will be beheaded! Well, I'm sure you can guess how that scene ends! Ha!
There are quite a few funny scenes in this film, and while it tends to run a bit long, it managed to keep my attention the entire time, something that a lot of super low budget films like this are not usually able to do. So if you want a cheesy, fun, horror flick...check out FETISH DOLLS DIE LAUGHING!

The AMERICAN GUINEA PIG trailer is finally here!
A few weeks ago, I posted about the AMERICAN GUINEA PIG film coming out soon. This is a reboot of the original Japanese GUINEA PIG film series. Well, the trailer is finally out, and I have to tell you, this trailer blew me away. I was expected some good gore, but nothing like this. This was gore on a sickening level, and I loved every second of it....should I be concerned about that? Ha! Oh well. Watch the trailer and let me know what you think. They do not make movies like this anymore....fortunately for us, Director Stephen Biro is changing that.
Watch the trailer, then leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Check out the trailer for the upcoming film, KILLING MR. RIGHT
A few years ago, I reviewed a fun slasher film from Kerosense Films called SPIRIT CAMP. I was a huge fan of this film and of director Kerry Beyer . Well, Mr. Beyer is back with a brand new film, this time he is focusing on the revenge/thriller genre. The film is called KILLING MR. RIGHT and the trailer is finally out for our viewing pleasure!
Here is the plot of the film from the Kerosene Films website:
Convinced her roommate’s new fiancĂ© is the man who abducted and raped her, a young law student, suffering from post traumatic stress disorder, takes justice into her own hands as she exacts revenge… but does she have the right man? Elizabeth Jackson and Kerry Beyer star in this disturbing revenge thriller that pushes the limits of sadism, giving a whole new meaning to the phrase “cruel and unusual punishment.”
I have to admit, I was hoping for more straight horror from Mr. Beyer's next film, but after watching this trailer, I could not be more excited for this film! I think there will be plenty of suspense and terror for us horror fans!
KILLING MR. RIGHT will have it's World Premiere Sneak Peak at SplatterFest on 10/2 at Alamo Drafthouse Mason Park in Houston. If you are attending that event, you can pre-order the DVD and pick it up there by clicking HERE. For those of us that can't attend that event, DVD sales will be available at a later date.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water comes....HELLYFISH!!
Now this is a film I must see!! I love a good cheesy creature feature, and they don't get much cheesier than this! I say that in a good way, don't get me wrong. The film is called HELLYFISH and this looks like a lot of fun! Here is the plot synopsis from the film's official website:
America's only missing nuclear weapon is leaking radioactive material into the ocean just off the coast of Tybee Island, GA. The trifling existence of a hapless cast is disrupted by a vicious force of nature that shows no mercy.
This is a short film, clocking in at only 13 minutes. It was written by Patrick Longstreth and Robert McLean and directed by Patrick Longstreth. The trailer is posted online now, and I urge you to give it a watch. The film is making festival rounds right now, so maybe some of you will be lucky enough to catch it soon. You can click HERE for a list of the upcoming festival screenings.
I want to see this so bad, and fortunately we will all be able to see this film when it makes it's online premiere on October 24th at Noon (Pacific Time).

DVD Review: PIECES OF TALENT
PIECES OF TALENT
Written by David Long and Joe Stauffer
Directed by Joe Stauffer
Distributed by Shutter Blade Media
Let me start by saying that PIECES OF TALENT is one of, if not the best film I have seen this year. I have seen mixed opinions about the film on facebook, so I went into this not really knowing what to expect. What I got was one of the most original, well made horror films I have seen in a long time. Here is the basic plot of the film from the film's imdb page:
This story centers around Charlotte, a struggling young actress who can't catch a break. In an effort to support herself and her hopeless mother, Charlotte holds a job as a cocktail waitress at a seedy, local strip club and hates every minute of it. During a cigarette break late one evening she witnesses an altercation between an overzealous bouncer and an unfortunate passerby, David. David makes movies and given Charlotte's career interests a friendship quickly develops. Soon enough, David mentions a project he has in the works that she would be perfect for and an excited Charlotte agrees to take part. She has no idea what she has signed up for.
This film had me from the very opening scene. Not very often does a film open with such a gruesome scene. It set the tone perfectly for what was to come over the next hour and a half. The film started off with a bang, and never slowed down. I was captivated the entire time. The film is shot beautifully and was both well directed and well acted. I thought the main actors David Long and Kristi Ray did a remarkable job in their roles. Mr. Long was perfectly cast and played the part of a nice guy with a dark secret to perfection. The gore effects in this film were amazing as well, and kudos to the filmmakers for using all practical effects instead of CGI.
I haven't seen a new horror movie I have enjoyed like this in a long time. Hopefully everyone will get on board and check out this amazing film that is sure to be a cult classic for the upcoming generations. I kid you not, it was that good! This was director Joe Stauffer's first feature length film according to his imdb page. If that is case, he has already set the standard for his future films extremely high! I can't wait to see what the future holds in terms of future releases from Mr. Stauffer. I can easily see the beginnings of a new master of horror in the making!
Now, before you do anything else, watch the trailer and then go order a DVD so you can see this film for yourself. You will not be disappointed! If you have already seen this film, leave a comment and let us know what your thoughts on it are.

DVD Review: BLOOD OF 1000 VIRGINS
BLOOD OF 1000 VIRGINS
Distributed by Full Moon Features
I am loving the Grindhouseflix line of films that Full Moon has put out recently! BLOOD OF 1000 VIRGINS is another great title from that line of films. Here is a description of the film from the Full Moon website:
The young and the innocent have their lives threatened by sick degenerates, evil creatures, and the devil himself! Will they escape with their virginity intact? Will they get revenge on their pervy attackers? Will our host make it out alive? All these questions and more will be stripped down and explored in the sultriest series of trailers hosted by "Playboy Playmate" Nikki Leigh.
Bare witness as our host guides you through topics like MALE and FEMALE VIRGINS, learn as she explains the many REASONS FOR STAYING A VIRGIN, run in fear while being chased by those WHO HUNT VIRGINS, and watch the blood fly when the tables are turned with the REVENGE OF THE VIRGIN.
So stay intimately close to our host as you wade ankle deep through the BLOOD OF 1000 VIRGINS!
First off, I was amazed that there were so many films about this subject! I guess it was a pretty hot topic back in the 70's which is when most of these trailers look like they are from. There are tons of exploitation films on display here, some you will have heard of probably, but a bunch that I have a feeling you might not have ever known existed. I know there were plenty on here that I didn't know about. Some of the films are your mainstream sex comedies, and party/teenager flicks, but there are a few that are just totally out there. Take for instance the film CHATTER BOX, about a woman with a talking vagina! Or, DEADLY WEAPONS about a woman with huge, um...weapons, that she uses to kill the bad guys with! This is crazy stuff that you just don't see anymore these days. It is awesome to have all of these films preserved in a trailer compilation like this.
This is one of the most enjoyable of the Grindhouseflix in my opinion. I love trailer compilations like this. I enjoy seeing all these old films and discovering new ones that I have never heard of.
BLOOD OF 1000 VIRGINS is available now on DVD and at fullmoonstreaming.com, and contains the following special features:
Special Features Include: -Charles Band Grindhouse Intro
-Nikki Leigh Interview
-Mike Diva's Grindhouse Megamix
-Blood of 1000 Virgins Trailer
-Six Grindhouse Trailers

DVD Review: THE HUMAN RACE
THE HUMAN RACE
Writtend & Directed by Paul Hough
Distributed by XLrator Media
I wasn't sure what to expect going into this film. I knew nothing about it, had read no reviews, and had not watched the trailer. While I was not expecting much, I was pleasantly surprised with this film. This film was fun and exciting and kept my attention the entire running time. The film is called THE HUMAN RACE which is an amazing title I realize after watching this film. It plays not only only the physical race the people have, but also the entire population of humans. You will realize how big of a part that plays after watching this film. Here is the brief synopsis of the film from the XLrator Media website:
Eighty strangers from all walks of life are ripped out of their daily lives and forced to participate in a brutal race to the death. The rules are simple; follow the arrows or you will die, step on the grass and you will die, get lapped twice and you will die. Only one participant will survive. Race or die. There can only be one winner, but who will survive and for what purpose?
At first the film just seems very simple, but the further the movie goes, the deeper you find out this movie really is. It can be confusing at times, but I think it all makes sense in the end. The movie starts abruptly with all the participants starting the race, then we are given the back story on the film's main characters. While the film is not really horror at all, there are some very gruesome kills, in fact, anyone that steps on the grass literally blows up! The film is more of an action/drama, but then towards the end quickly turns into a very cool science fiction film. Like I said, it will all make sense in the end.
The film is well acted, well written, and was thoroughly enjoyable for me. I would definitely recommend THE HUMAN RACE. The film is available now on DVD and contains the following special features:
* Director & Cast Commentary
* Deleted Scenes
* Trailer
