Scarlett Johansson to star as Janet Leigh in upcoming making of PSYCHO film!?

I just read in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine that film star Scarlett Johansson is set to star in the upcoming film, ALFRED  HITCHCOCK AND THE MAKING OF PSYCHO, as Janet Leigh.     The film will also star Anthony Hopkins as Alfred Hitchcock,  Helen Mirren as Hitchcock's wife, and James D'Arcy as Anthony Perkins.
I find it strange for a feature film to be made about the making of a film.  I'm not sure anything like this has been done before.  And I think things will get really confusing when the DVD comes out and one of the special features is "The Making of Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho"!
This could be a very cool project, and Anthony Hopkins as Hitchcock should be very interesting!

  1. Huh, odd. Might be interesting! There has been something like this done before, though - remember? SHADOW OF THE VAMPIRE with John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe is about the making of the original NOSFERATU...

  3. I think they should consider changing the confusing title, but otherwise, this sounds like an interesting project.
